Magazines

Sue’s work has appeared in a wide variety of gardening publications, local newspapers and magazines over the years. Currently she contributes regularly to BBC Gardeners’ World magazine, writing features on a diverse range of topics and also carrying out many ‘on test’ projects for the magazine, mainly in her Devon garden. More details are listed below.

Sue is also the gardening writer for the Devon-based magazines ‘Links’ magazines: Moor Links and Tavy Links.

Previously Sue wrote regular gardening columns for a number of years for My Weekly magazine, the Sunday Mercury, and the Citizen newspaper. Her features have also appeared in Gardens Monthly, Garden News, The Garden and Amateur Gardening.

Her extensive range of work for BBC Gardeners’ World magazine includes the ‘Back to Basics’ mini-series and a range of ‘On Test’ trials that include the following topics:

  • Crops in pots: vegetables for containers
  • Compost bins for small spaces

  • No-mow lawn ‘alternatives’
